Facebook testing facial recognition for account recovery

People tired of the two-step authentication process of Facebook will soon get some relief.  Facebook is testing a new feature which will allow users to recover accounts and lost passwords using facial identification. A user identified as, Devesh Logendran, had shared the screenshot of the new feature with TheNextWeb's Matt Navarra. “We are testing a new feature for people who want to quickly and easily verify account ownership during the account recovery process. This optional feature is available only on devices you’ve already used to log in. It is another step, alongside two-factor authentication via SMS, that were taking to make sure account owners can confirm their identity," Facebook told  TechCrunch .  Fortunately for Facebook, it already has a huge amount of face data from user's profiles.
